Kids' Art Inspired Stationery

A client asked about creating some stationery with images from a 2nd Grade Class. The students each drew a picture and then wrote their name on white paper with markers. The client brought them in, and I scanned, edited and WHALA!... the Cutest Ever stationery packages! The packages include 24 stickers, 20 sheet of lined loose stationery with envelopes and 12 note cards.

Daisy Invitations

Yesterday, I put together the little daisies using a daisy punch and 2 colors of paper. Finishing touch... a rhinestone in the middle. Today, I printed the invitations on the inside of the fold-over note and am now glueing on the the daisies and the white tulle bows.

Take a look at what's new with A. Flood of Paper! After a year of working from my home in Norwalk, I am moving to a retail location in Wilton, CT. The store will be opening very soon. I will, of course, post when it is officially open. In the meantime, take a look at some pics!

Fern Cards

With a natural and elegant look, these place cards and table cards great for any event. They are layered with a printable top layer with a hand drawn fern. 2 more layers include an olive green card stock and a natural tan beige card stock. They font used was a calligraphy.

Purple Glitter

These table cards were so much fun to create! First, I cut and scored the green paper into about a 4x6 inch fold-over. Then I printed and cut out large numbers. I also printed out oval shaped tags with names. My favorite part....adding the glitter!! I used spray adhesive then sprinkled a very fine purple glitter all over the numbers (2 at a time). Shake off the excess, and then left to dry. I attached them with a hot glue, and whalaa!

Polka Dots

This client's party theme was polka dots. In keeping with that theme, they wanted round place cards and table cards with a corresponding number of polka dots to the table number. The colors scheme was turquoise, lime green and accents of red.
For the place cards, I first printed them on scored (folded) white card stock. In Illustrator, I made a template of 2 overlapping circles and then made it into one shape. Then for each table (there were 20 tables), I set up polka dots for the background in turquoise with a low transparency. The names were printed in lime green and the table number typed at the bottom in turquoise.
Once they were printed out, I folded the paper and used a 3" craft hole punch. Sometimes, the hole punch would not go completely through the 2 layers of card stock, so I had to finish with scissors.
For the table cards, I set them up to print with a 5 inch circle template. Once printed, I used a craft circle cutter and matt board to cut them out. Then I cut out slightly larger red circles and attached them together with double sided tape from an ATG gun.

Candy Wrappers

The candy wrappers were a success! They were used as favors at a Bar Mitvah.
I designed them to resemble your typical candy bar. I used a darker blue font and layered a white font on top to give dimension. Dimension was also added by a drop shadow to each layer. Using a heavy weight paper (32 lb.), I printed them on my Canon printer. Then I used a paper cutter to cut them just the right sized to wrap around the candy bar. To seal the edges together I used an ATG gun with double sided tape.

Decorative Place Cards

Recently, I began working with an event planner located close to my home in Connecticut. What a fun experience this has been! My first project was place cards for a Bar Mitzvah. The theme was rock-n-roll bands.

I used a sparkling green card stock for the backing, and a white card stock for the printable top layer. The "cd" was made with a silver metallic poster board punched into 2 inch circles. I printed round stickers with the table names, attached to the silver circles and then hole punched the middle. They turned out wonderful, and the client loved them!

My next project is candy bar wrappers. So, stay tuned!
